Share a Romantic Evening On a Private Sunset Cruise in St. Augustine

Recently, my husband surprised me with a romantic sunset cruise aboard a private boat for our wedding anniversary.  It allowed us to enjoy St. Augustine from a different perspective, not just as residents "playing tourist" in the beautiful coastal town we live in, but also by viewing the Nation's Oldest City on the water. 

Our tour was conducted by TH Charters, one of the only private boat charter companies in St. Augustine. We brought our own take out meal and wine from one of our favorite local Italian restaurants so that we could enjoy a delicious dinner on the Matanzas River. 

Our cruise was three hours, went as far south as the 312 bridge, and as far north as the St. Augustine Airport, where we viewed a spectacular sunset.  Captain Todd was an excellent host and his assistant, Erin, was attentive to all of our needs, truly making this a relaxing experience.

The spacious boat My Way had a covered upper level that allowed us to see the Historic District in all its splendor.  We sailed under the Bridge of Lions, watched pelicans fly over the Castillo de San Marcos, and even saw a dolphin swim past!  As the sun sank lower and lower over the marshlands, the sky was vibrant and colorful, and the recent storm clouds from the afternoon produced a double rainbow to the east over the ocean. 

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish and was the perfect romantic way to celebrate our special day.
